23/12/2003 - C I Host Counts Down to Bullish 2004, Rings in New Year on Times Square TV
NEW YORK, Dec 23, 2003 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- C I Host, a global leader in Web hosting, Internet infrastructure and software development, today will launch an aggressive television blitz in Times Square, the pulse of the United States holiday season.
"C I Host is known for crazy deals on the Web and zany promotions," said Christopher Faulkner, CEO of C I Host. "We're using the Jumbotron screens in Times Square to announce that C I Host and the American economy are going to have a huge 2004! It's a simple plan: Be in Times Square! Be seen by millions!"
C I Host television ads -- a total of 220 spots -- will "air" on the huge ABC and NBC screens overlooking Times Square, (screens that are 585 square feet and 1,200 square feet, respectively). Traffic in the area is projected to be 1.5 million per day ... or a total of 16 million for the 11-day schedule -- a marketing coup for any holiday campaign.
"If there is a great, economical media opportunity, we will find it," Faulkner said. "And, the fact that our ads are playing to the people of the greatest, most influential city on earth makes this an extra special holiday treat."
The ads state that C I Host can help with "Whatever You Want To Do On The Web," just as the company has helped its 200,000 customers around the world.
C I Host turned heads earlier this month, as its Human Billboard received newspaper coverage across the country -- complete with color photos of the gentleman who now has a 5X5 color tattoo of C I Host's logo on the back of his head.
C I Host astounded the marketing world in 1999, when it blazed new marketing territory by placing its logo on the boxing trunks of Heavyweight Evander Holyfield. That "gamble" rewarded C I Host with hundreds of television shots, over and over before a pay-per-view audience of 800 million viewers worldwide.
