LOS ANGELES, Dec 1, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- BroadSpire, Inc., a leading managed IT services provider, today announced it is suing Platinum Equity, LLC in the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, for trademark infringement and dilution.

Platinum recently changed the name of its Kemper Services subsidiary to BROADSPIRE. BroadSpire, Inc. alleges that this use by Platinum of the name BROADSPIRE infringes its rights to the BROADSPIRE mark in violation of federal law. BroadSpire, Inc. has asked the court to prohibit Platinum Equity from continuing to use the name pending trial.
