TUCSON, Ariz., Aug 20, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Linktivity, a division of SpartaCom Technologies Inc., today announced the release of WebDemo 3.0, the latest and most advanced version of its award-winning, premise-based Web collaboration software. Available in three versions: WebDemo Express, WebDemo Professional and WebDemo Enterprise, the product is designed to offer a complete collaboration solution for small businesses to enterprises, while maintaining an affordable price.

KEY NEW FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS OF WEBDEMO EXPRESS AND ALL WEBDEMO 3.0 VERSIONS:
-- Application Sharing: This allows a host to select which
application they wish to broadcast to participants. They may
select one or more applications to broadcast. To better
support application sharing, the attendee now has the
annotation tools to enhance their collaboration effort.
-- Improved Keyboard Chat: This feature has been integrated into
both the host and participant's command module. Upgrades
include modifications to the keyboard chat, so the host or
attendee can now have private chat rooms.
-- Enhanced Viewport: This allows users to click and drag the
viewport anywhere on their desktop. In the pause mode users
can set up other applications without audiences seeing what
they are doing. Also, the attendee now has the ability to
resize the viewport on their screen.
-- Participant Transparency Tools: Participants can launch the
transparency tools to share in the collaboration process. Also
the transparency tools bar has more drawing options such as
font, line thickness, square, circle, cut/move or color
selector.
-- WebDemo Reports Page: The reports page allows administrators
to generate daily, weekly, monthly, or specific range reports
on the number of current active users, number of current
active sessions and the number of total sessions for range.
-- True Color Representation: Between 256 colors and High Color
(16-bit to 24-bit) are available for added enhancement to the
viewport. This is ideal for advertising and marketing
professionals who place a premium on the creative component of
their presentations.
In addition to the above features, WebDemo 3.0 also includes one-click functions for attendee lists, a new public area with meetings, recorded meetings and public documents and the software now supports Netscape and Sun Java.
ADDITIONAL KEY FEATURES OF WEBDEMO PROFESSIONAL
-- Record and Playback: This feature records a meeting session
and saves it for playback at a later time, allowing the
presenter to determine what is to be recorded, such as the
viewport, voice, or the keyboard chat. The recorded sessions
are thereafter available for meeting attendees to play back
whenever they wish to view the recorded sessions.
-- Updated Co-Browse Functionality: This feature has been greatly
stabilized, enabling users to "co-browse" with WebDemo
participants so presenters can direct attendees to specific
live Web pages for training or support.
-- File Broadcast: Allows the presenter of a WebDemo session to
broadcast files to any or all attendees. As a result, files of
any type can be distributed quickly to all meeting
participants.
-- VOIP: This allows an audio choice of microphone, wave file or
line-in. The wave file or real media player now can be
broadcast to audiences and broadcast sound can come from
PowerPoint presentations.
ADDITIONAL KEY FEATURES OF WEBDEMO ENTERPRISE
-- Broadcast Video: Significant enhancements and updates have
been incorporated into this feature including: selectable
frame size (176x144 and 352x288), selectable frame rate (from
0.2 to 30 fps), selectable video quality and AVI input to
video conferencing.
-- Polling and Quizzing: This feature allows users to collaborate
with audiences through five polling options including:
true/false, yes/no, or multiple-choice questions. The results
are tallied dynamically and can be displayed on an aggregate
level to all participants. Users can also save the polling
questions they create for later use.
-- Document Manager: All WebDemo registered and unregistered
users can now place and view public documents by selecting
public area off the menu in the left column.
-- Record and Playback Client: This new feature allows you to
record and play back offline and to send the file via e-mail
to anyone to view at their leisure without going to your
server.
